How it prints
A normal print job, not a developer project
No ZPL or Browser Print
EasyScan sends a print-ready PDF through your Zebra driver. There is no ZPL code to write and no Zebra Browser Print add-on to install.
Direct printing if you want it
On the Advanced and Pro plans, connect PrintNode to send labels straight to a chosen Zebra printer, with no print dialog.
Works with desktop models
Use it with the Zebra desktop printers merchants use most, such as the ZD220, ZD410 and ZD421. Direct thermal or thermal transfer both work.
Setup
Get sharp, correctly sized labels
Install the driver first
Install the Zebra driver before you connect the printer, then calibrate the media each time you change label stock.
Change the default size
Zebras often default to 4 × 6 shipping labels. In your printer settings, set the default paper size to your barcode label, such as 2.25 × 1.25 in.
Print at 100%
In the print dialog, set scale to 100% or Actual size and margins to None. If prints are faint, use Zebra's recommended darkness and speed for your stock.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know ZPL to use a Zebra printer with Shopify?
No. EasyScan builds a PDF at your label size and prints it through the Zebra driver like any other document.
Why does my Zebra print a 4 × 6 label or skip labels?
The driver's paper size does not match the stock, or the printer has not been calibrated to the gap between labels. Set the correct size in printer settings, then run media calibration for your model.
Which Zebra printers are supported?
Any Zebra printer with a driver on your Mac or PC. Shopify's own hardware list includes the ZD220 and ZD421, and the ZD410 and ZD411 are also common.
Can I print from an iPad or phone?
EasyScan prints through your computer's print dialog, so plan to print from a Mac or PC. Shopify also notes that the ZD421 cannot print labels from iOS or Android tablets.
