Prioritize the barcode
Turn on Prioritize barcode size so text never squeezes the bars, and Keep text on one line for narrow rolls.
Pick a compact format
CODE128 packs the most data into the least width, so it is the best choice for 12 mm to 29 mm rolls.
Fine-tune the layout
Adjust font size from 4 to 40 pt, padding and barcode height and width, then save the result as your default template.

Install Brother's driver
Install the printer driver for your model, such as the QL-800, QL-820NWB or QL-1110NWB, on your Mac or PC.
Match the paper size
In the print dialog, set the paper size to the same DK roll as your EasyScan template.
Print at 100%
Set scale to 100% and margins to None, then print a single test label and scan it before a big run.

Can I print Shopify barcodes on a Brother QL printer?
Yes. EasyScan creates a PDF at your DK roll's size and prints it through the Brother driver. Choose the Brother template for your roll so the barcode is sized to scan.
Why doesn't Shopify recommend Brother for barcodes?
Shopify's Retail Barcode Labels app only supports Dymo, Zebra and Avery sheet labels, and its help center steers Brother QL owners to those printers. EasyScan supports Brother rolls directly.
Which Brother roll is best for product barcodes?
Die-cut rolls such as DK-11209 (29 × 62 mm) or DK-11220 (39 × 48 mm) give consistent label sizes. Continuous rolls also work if the paper size in the driver matches your template.
Can I add prices and my logo?
Yes. Labels can show price, compare-at price, SKU, variant, vendor, custom text and your logo.
