EasyScan makes it simple to create and manage all your barcodes right from the app. In this guide, we’ll take a look at what you can do using the “SKUs and Barcodes” tab.
Making new barcodes is very easy, select the "Set new Barcodes" inner tab. Before you start, take a look at the settings to make sure you have them adjusted to your liking. Generally, we recommend using the Shopify variant ID for the barcode, and setting the Barcode property. However you can change this to a randomly generated unique ID if you wish. You can also update the SKU property for your product, using the checkbox, if you would like both this and the barcode value to be the same. Remember EasyScan can recognise both SKU or Barcode for a product so this is not a requirement.
Once you are happy with these main settings, you can also modify whether the product name or alphanumeric barcode are printed along with the code image - using the settings on the right side of the screen. Here you can also adjust the size of the barcodes for printing.
Note: It’s a good idea to test your settings on one or two products before you update them all.
Now go ahead and select the products you want to create barcodes for using the green "Select product" button at the bottom. Once you have selected all the products, you can choose to print each barcode on its own (which is better if you are labelling a bunch of one product), or print them all (better for creating a barcode list).
