Show A Popup Rules

Show a popup rules are triggered the same way as other EG rules. The difference is that instead of adding a product automatically, they show customers a popup with a selection of products they can choose to add to their cart. This works particularly well if you want to offer a gift like a T-shirt where the customer needs to choose a size, or let them choose between a red or blue T-shirt.

Interested in setting up a rule like this? Follow these steps to create your own:

Step 1: Create a new EG rule

Open the EG app from the Shopify admin page.

Create a new rule and name it appropriately.

Set the rule trigger you want to use.

Step 2: Configure the products you want to offer in the rule action

In the rule action section, select Show a popup. This action is available on paid plans.

Select the products you want to offer to the customer when the rule is triggered. The Standard plan allows up to 6 products per popup, and the Unlimited plan allows more.

Configure the contents of the popup shown to the customer. Write an engaging headline and sub-headline to tempt your customer to buy more.

You can show or hide the prices of the offered products.

Step 3: Apply additional settings for the rule

Apply other settings for the rule such as schedules, magic links etc.

Remember to save your rule.
